Panaji: The Department of Home has informed that all private security agencies operating in Goa must be registered online on the portal www.psara.gov.in of the Home Department.
Any private security agency operating in Goa without registration with the Home Department is committing a punishable offence, which may result in a fine of Rs 25,000, imprisonment of up to one year, or both.
All establishments in Goa are requested to appoint security guards only through private security agencies that hold a valid PSARA 2005 license from the Goa State. The list of registered private security agencies can be viewed on the same portal www.psara.gov.in under the caption “Know Your Agency.”
