Panaji: IMD Goa has ruled out any direct impact of cyclones ‘Luban’ and ‘Titli’, which are developed in Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal, respectively.
However, it has predicted thundershowers with lightening for the coast. The fishermen are also advised not to venture into deep sea areas of southeast & Lakshadweep area during next 24 hours and into southwest, westcentral and eastcentral of Arabian Sea till October 12.
IMD Goa incharge ML Sahu said that both the cyclones will have no direct impact on Goa. “However, indirect impact in form of thundershowers, lightening will be witnessed,” he said.
‘Luban’ is now approaching the Yemen and South Oman coasts while, ‘Titli’ will hit Odisha by Thursday.
