St Andre: With the Initiative of Local leader of St Andre Prof. Ramrao Wagh and Dr. Suresh Kuncolikar, Principal of Don Bosco College, Sulkorna, Cultivation process started in Dhamda Khazan of Dongari Neura with power tiller introduced in the fields of Janardan Nasnodkar on Sunday 20th June.
Zonal Agriculture office, Ela old goa has provided paddy seed to the farmers. These fields were lying uncultivated for almost 25 years but since last year with sustained efforts by Prof.Ramrao Wagh, Dr Suresh Kuncolikar, locals and with help from ZAO farmers are turning back to farming. Ramrao Wagh requested farmers to contact Janardan Nasnodkar for power tiller which will be available for some days.
