Panaji: Goa recorded the highest ever spike in the number of COVID-19 positive cases with 588 new infections recorded on Tuesday taking the tally to 18,006.
A senior health official said that 273 people were discharged from various covid treatment facilities after which the number of recovered patients have touched 13577.
Two people died during the death taking the toll to 194.
Health department officials said that out of 3762 samples tested, 2683 were negative, 588 returned positive while tests on 491 samples is still awaited.
