Panaji: Hours after Congress Goa President Girish Chodankar tweeted claiming that 70 per cent of Goa government employees were not paid their salary, Director of Accounts Dilip Humraskar issued a press note indirectly admitting that there are few salaries yet to be cleared.

“The salary bill of all the Government employees and aided institutions (North and South Goa)for the month of August 2020which have been received within the due date have been released on 31st August. However, bills received after the due date, if any, shall be cleared on priority,” Humraskar said.
Earlier during the day, Chodankar tweeted “Is it true @goacm @DrPramodPSawant that 70 per cent of @GovtofGoa employees are not paid their August 2020 salary? You have money to spend on Casino Bhavan, but no funds for Salaries of Staff. Will you give reasons for the delay or @BJP4Goa now expects 30% commission on it.”
