Colvale: Today Colvale police in a team effort saved life of a women who intended to commit suicide by jumping from Vozrim-Pirna Bridge.
As per SDPO Mapusa Jivba Dalvi At 10.00 am one informant girl appeared at this police station and reported that her women friend age 36 yrs r/o Thivim has sent her text message on phone that she has left to commit suicide as she in distress of her life. Informant informed that her friend phone found switch off since morning and that she left home with two wheeler scooter after dropping her two minor daughters in school and her present whereas is not known.
Based upon above information, under supervision of Shri. Jivba Dalvi, SDPO Mapusa, PI Colvale PS Shri. Vijay Rane, team consisting of PSI- Rohan Madgaonkar, PC-Ramesh Parab PC- Rameshwar, Tousif, LPC Shilpa Shetgaonkar HG- Ritesh, Anvi sawant were deputed to comb all possible places such as Railway station track, highway road, river bank, valleys, hideout places, wells, big pond, mining areas. The detail of lady and vehicle were also circulated in office whatsap group. On duty and off duty staffs were also activated to participate in operation. Further due to meticulous team efforts, first scooter of the missing lady was traced on Vozrim-Pirna Bridge which further lead to the tracing missing women who intended to jump from the bridge in the river water. The team succeeded in tracing and saving life of the women.
