Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant will felicitate the recipients of the CM–Vashistha Guru Puraskar at the 65th Teachers’ Day celebration function on September 5, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Institute Menezes Braganza Hall, Panaji.
The nine awardees include Eshwar Raghuvir Parab, Government Primary School Teacher, Government Primary School, Surla, Bicholim; and Arati Ashok Kolambkar, Government Primary School Teacher, Government Primary School, Chavdi, Canacona.
Nitin D. Naik, Physical Education Teacher, Shivajiraje High School, Kholpewada, Sal, Bicholim; Devendra B. Sathe, Dattaram Mantravadi Memorial High School, Mapusa; Prashant Tari, Special Educator, Gujarati Samaj Educational Trust for the Handicapped Special School, Aquem, Margao; and Gourish R. Vernekar, Drawing Teacher, Shree Katyayani Baneshwar High School, Canacona, have been selected in the Secondary Teacher category.
Narendra M. Naik, Government High School, Hankhane, Pernem; and Mable Maria Perpetua Vaz DA Costa, Headmistress, Mae Dos Pobres High School, Nuvem, Salcete, have been selected in the High School Headmaster category.
