Porvorim: The Session of Goa Legislative Assembly will begin tomorrow (March 24) with Chief Minister Pramod Sawant scheduled to present the Budget on the first day.
Sawant is also holding the portfolio of Finance.
State Legislature Secretary Namrata Ulman told reporters that Sawant would be presenting Budget during the afternoon hours on March 24.
She said that the session which begins tomorrow will culminate on April 16 after having 14 working days.
Ulman said that there are various government Bills, 15 Private Members’ resolutions, Private Members’ Bills are scheduled to be taken up during the Session.
“There will be calling attention motions tabled on every day,” she added.
The members have tabled 568 starred and 1003 unstarred Questions which would be answered during the Session, she said.
Amidst the pandemic situation, the Secretary said that strict protocols would be adhered to. “The Public will not be allowed to attend the Session while number of government officers are also restricted,” she said.
