Panaji : The Progressive front of Goa appealed to the people through the media that if Mahadei is to be saved, then Changing the government is the only option. “In Maharashtra the people voted against BJP because they wanted to save the Aarey forest through which the government had proposed to build a bullet train. The newly elected government scrapped this project” said Adv Hrudaynath Shirodkar.
“In Karnataka all political parties fight jointly for river Mahadei by keeping their differences aside but this is not seen in Goa unfortunately” asserted Shirodkar. He also informed that PFG had asked all parties to have a unified opposition against Karnataka’s stand on Mahadei but BJP did not join in this cause.
PFG have been meeting the leaders of all opposition parties since the last two months so that in upcoming assembly elections all opposition would be unified against BJP. ” It will be Goa against BJP” concluded Shirodkar.
