Panaji : All Goa Private Bus Owners’ Association General Secretary Sudip Tmahankar speaking to the media today inferred that their demand to get relief for private bus owners has been finally fulfilled.
“A bus owner has to pay 80,000 to 90,000 for insurance premium since lockdown our business was down hence we had asked the insurance company to provide us relief, we have succeed as we received tax exemption” said Tamhankar.
Tamhankar has also informed the press that Road tax, Passenger tax has also been exempted for a period of 6 months. Earlier the organisation had filed a case in the Hon’ble High Court asking to provide tax relief after the HC gave an order, the government agreed to their demands to provide relief to private bus owners who had suffered loss during the lockdown.
