Panaji: Union Ministry for MOEF&CC has constituted Goa Coastal Zone
Management Authority (GCZMA) for a period of three years.
In an order issued on October 31, Ministry has appointed Principal
Secretary Environment as its chairman.
Principal Chief Conservator of Forest, Director Panchayat, Director
Tourism, Director Industries, Chief Engineer Water Resources
Department and Chief Engineer of Public Works Department are the
government members. Director Environment is the member secretary.
Savio Correia, Flaviano Miranda, Mahesh Patil and Sujeetkumar Dongre
are the experts appointed on GCZMA. Shrirang Jambhale, representing
NGO Gram Vikas Kendra from Savoi-Verm is a non-government organization
member.
