Mapusa Police Station have registered a case against the IRB PSI into the incident which his wife has got injured due to gun shot.
As per SDPO Mapusa upon receipt of information, statement of the said wife was recorded during which she stated that while cleaning the house she also began to clean the gun during which she unknowingly pulled the trigger and got injured.
Police than procured services of Forensic team and collected the bullet residue and other important material.
Further upon inquiry it had been revealed that the PSI Dhanu Boghati R/o Mapusa, Bardez – Goa of IRB Police negligently left his service pistol unattended which resulted in this incident and hence an offence under section 338 IPC has been registered.
