Margao: It is really sad and shocking to see the most irresponsible, insensitive and corrupt BJP Government headed by Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant is playing with the sentiments of the beneficiaries of the Laadli Laxmi Scheme by issuing sanction orders which are now technically invalid. The Government must stop fooling the beneficiaries and immediately tender apology for issuing false and misleading letters to the beneficiaries demanded Goa Pradesh Mahila Congress President Beena Naik.
The letters sent by the Directorate of Women and Child Development as Sanction Orders for various beneficiaries of the Laadli Laxmi Scheme are dated from the period as back as 26th March 2021 to 18th June 2021. These letters states that the beneficiaries must visit the Office of the Director of Women and Child Development between 2.00 pm to 5.00 pm. within 10 working days. It may be noted in many cases almost 3 months have already passed since the letter was issued pointed Beena Naik.
This may be another Jumla Plan of the BJP Government to make propaganda of helping the people but in reality do nothing. The Government must be having malafied intention of rejecting the applications as “time- barred” and may be “rejected without future intimation” as stated in the letters issued by the Government stated Beena Naik.
Government must explain why the letters were not sent in the month of March and June 2021 itself. Why there was a delay with a gap of almost 15 days to 3 months to send the said letters to the beneficiaries? questioned Beena Naik.
The BJP Government is now completely frightened of their imminent defeat in the coming Assembly Elections. They are now trying to do some face selling exercise by releasing long pending dues of the Social Welfare Schemes.
We demand that the Government must immediately issue a Notification revalidating all the letters sent to the beneficiaries and give them enough time to comply with the necessary formalities. We also demand that the Government must reveal the data of the pending Laadli Laxmi applications and when they will be sanctioned stated Beena Naik.
