Porvorim: Reacting to the allegations leveled against him of threatening BJP spokesman Premanand Mhambrey, Independent MLA Rohan Khaunte said that these are the “old tectics of BJP to pressurize the opponents.”

“These are the old tactics of BJP to pressurize the opponents. May be yesterday’s speech, which exposed the government made CM to use his cronies to put false allegations against me,” Khaunte reacted.

“I would not get provoked with such immaturity show by the BJP Goa President and his people. This only shows that in addition to their financial crunch, they are also having talent crunch. This showcases whole frustration of the BJP and their people as they are not able to handle the floor nor outside,” the Independent MLA said.

Khaunte said that the move seems to be keep him busy ahead of the budget.

“I would be speaking on the reflection of the budget on the last day of the session,” he said.

When asked about threatening, Khaunte said “our culture has never taught us to do such things.”
