BJP appoints Tomar, Murugan as Observer, co-observer for Goa

Panaji: In a late evening development, Bharatiya Janata Party has appointed Narendra Singh Tomar and L Murugan as the central observer and co-observer respectively for Goa.

BJP National General Secretary Arun Singh, in a press note released here, has said that both the observer and co-observer are appointed for the election of the leader of the legislative party.

Tomar is a Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare while Murugan is Union minister of State for Fisheries and Animal Husbandry.

BJP sources stated that both the leaders are expected to arrive in Goa on Tuesday after which they will be attending the meeting with the newly elected MLAs of the party.

After registering victory on 30 seats, BJP has emerged as the single largest party in the assembly. Goa Governor P S Sreedharan Pillai has summoned Assembly session on Tuesday to administer oath for the newly elected members.
