Panaji: Panaji Congress Corporator Joel Andrade on Saturday said that people from all walks of life, especially the youth, have responded positively to the Congress party’s call to participate in the Bharat Jodo Yatra and are doing it with great determination. He was speaking to the media upon his arrival from Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, on Saturday.

“Personally, participating in the Bharat Jodo Yatra was an enriching experience. It is great to see the Yatra connect with the country’s youth. People from all walks of life have come together to walk for a common cause – to unite India, 20 KMs+ per day. Thousands of people begin their day at 5 AM, some even before that. It is a refreshing experience and gives us more strength and vigor to fight this battle. With love, I am sure we will win this battle for India.”

Joel went on to say, “In the little time I spent at the Yatra, there were dozen-odd groups that came to meet and discuss a variety of issues with Rahul Ji and our senior party leaders. People spoke about unemployment, the danger of democracy under the current dispensation, the struggle they undergo to make ends meet, and so on. Rahul Ji listened to their concerns with sympathy. He is extremely concerned about the unemployment rate in our country and said that the Congress party will always stand up for the idea of India that is being attacked and destroyed by the Modi-led government.”
