Goa has six off shore and a dozen on shore casinos operating in the State.

The Chief Minister said that the ban on entry of Goans on casinos would be implemented from February 01, 2020 onwards.

“I had assured on the floor of the House during last session (August, 2019) that Goans would be banned from entering casinos. We are going to implement the assurance,” Sawant said.

He said that the rules which are required for stringent implementation of the ban would be framed subsequently.

“We are going step by step,” he said.
