Margao: If the body language and events are to be believed, then former NCP leader Yuri Alemao, son of former Urban Development minister Joaquim Alemao, is inching closer towards Goa Forward Party.

The Junior Alemao has been now working actively in Cuncolim constituency, which was earlier represented by his father, indicating that Joaquim might hang his shoes in politics.

Yuri and Joaquim met GFP President Vijai Sardesai with the demand to denotify State Highway which is passing through Chandor. The meeting was more than just petitioning as eye witnesses revealed that Yuri is all set to join GFP.

Sardesai while maintaining silence on Yuri’s Forward way, tweeted “former minister Joaquim Alemao, Yuri Alemao , Sarpanch and residents of Chandor have petitioned me to denotify SH8 passing through this heritage village.”

“Have promised them that this will be done and twinning of Fatorda and Chandor would take place as regards Heritage Festival etc,” Sardesai tweeted.
