Youth Congress distributes food packets in GMC

Panaji: The St. Andre unit of Goa Pradesh Youth Congress recently distributed food packets to the relatives of patients admitted in Goa Medical College-Bambolim.

The GPYC President Adv. Varad Mardolkar informed that the program was organized on the occasion of Rahul Gandhi’s birthday. “Our St. Andre block had done best work by distributing food packets to relatives of patients from GMC. In the past we had distributed water bottles to help them.” Mardolkar said.

He said that many youths were involved in this program of distributing food packets. “Our youths know the importance of this distribution and they come forward to help society. This helps us to carry out many such programs. Furthermore, we will help people who are in trouble and in need.” Mardolkar said.

Goa Incharge Akhilesh Yadav, -North District President Vivek D Silva, General secretary Archit Naik, St. Andre President Saish Aroskar, North District general secretary Mazinho Fernandes and St. Andre general secretary Vivek Naik were present on the occasion.

Goa Incharge Akhilesh Yadav praised the work of youth Congress and said that it is the duty of youths to help people in need in this testing times of COVID pandemic. “Many people are grappling with this pandemic and fighting against it. If we help them and give them some hope, then it would be the best thing. Let us identify the people in need and support them.” Yadav said.

He also asked the members of Youth Congress to plan more such programs in future.
