Panaji: Health Minister Vishwajit Rane today took a jibe at Congress for unfair comparison between security at Goa medical college and bone marrow transplant.
Rane said that the congress has been making media statements without any logic.
“The security at GMC is required not only for patients but also for the students and doctors. There are girls and boys hostel in the same complex,” he said.
The minister said that with the increase in infrastructure, the security for the complex will also have to be increased.
Rane said that state government would be empaneling more hospitals in Maharashtra and Karnataka for bone marrow transplant and other oncology facilities under DDSSY and Mediclaim schemes.
He said that the state currently has empanelled Tata memorial hospital for bone marrow transplant.
“More centres would be added to the scheme so that people can have better facilities,” he said.
