Porvorim: The discussion on supplementary demands in the House saw GFP MLA Vijai Sardesai and AAP MLA Venzy Viegas taunting each other without taking names.
During his speech on the supplementary demands, Sardesai told CM Pramod Sawant that he would not equate him with former CM Dayanand Bandodkar. “I will not call you Bhausaheb Bandodkar. I don’t want to make you happy. I think even Dhavalikar will agree with me,” Sardesai said, apparently referring to Viegas’ statement on Opinion Poll Day.
Viegas had earlier compared the CM to Goa’s first chief minister while speaking about developmental works in his constituency.
Later, while addressing the House, Viegas said, “I don’t have a house on a hillock or a bandh. I don’t take benefit of the schemes.”
Viegas’ remark appeared to reference recent social media posts targeting Sardesai over his bungalow in Molcornem village.
Sardesai himself had raised concerns about an alleged toolkit working against him, claiming that his image holding a placard in the House had been morphed.
