Panaji: Union AYUSH Minister Shripad Naik was discharged on Saturday from Manipal hospital, where he was admitted a month back after testing positive for COVID-19 infection.
Naik was admitted at Manipal hospital on August 12 after testing positive for COVID19 infection.
A senior health department official said that Naik has been declared as recovered from COVID-19 infection, after which he was discharged from the private hospital.
He said that the opinion of experts from All India Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi was taken before deciding on his discharge.
Before going home, Naik went to the temple along with the team of doctors including Indian Medical Association’s Goa unit former Chief and medical expert from Manipal Hospital Dr Shekhar Salkar, before going home.
