Two more Europeans isolated at GMC for coronavirus scare

Bambolim: A day after a foreigner patient kept in isolation ward of Goa Medical College and Hospital near here tested negative for Coronavirus, two more Europeans were quarantined in the same facility on Saturday.

GMCH Dean Shivanand Bandekar told PTI that both the Europeans were kept in isolation facility after they were referred from the private hospital.

He said that their samples have been sent for testing to Pune based laboratory.

Both the patients have arrived in Goa after visiting China, he added.

The admissions come hours after the first similar suspected person who was admitted in GMC was discharged on Friday.

Another European was isolated at GMC on January 28. The tests on his samples had reported negative on Friday.
