Sanguem: Trinamool Congress Party has expanded its base in Sanguem assembly segment under the leadership of Rakhi Prabhudesai Naik with the inauguration of new office on Saturday.
A cabinet minister in West Bengal government Manas Ranjan Bhunia was present for the inauguration of the office during which 50 youths from all the communities including former Youth President of Sanguem NCP Sulaksha Mirashi, Vice President Sarvesh Prabhudesai and others joined the party.
In a significant development, several self help groups from Sanguem also joined the TMC. More than 60 women including President of a self help group Fransisca Fernandes, Poonam Gaonkar and other members joined. The groups like Bhaktipurush Self Help Group, Masuradevi Self Help Group, Surekha Velip, President Surekha Velip, Priyanka Velip and other members also joined the party.
The other self help groups including Maa Santoshi Group, Pillar Saibin Self Help Group, St Anthony Self Help Group from the areas like Netravali, Mangal, Uguem have joined the TMC.
