Panaji:Three tourists died on the spot at Arpora village during the wee hours of Saturday when they were hit by a speeding car driven by a Russian tourist.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Jivba Dalvi told reporters that the incident happened around 3.30 am on Saturday when all the three tourists were about to sit in their car.
A speeding car driven by Russian tourist Anton Bychkov (27) dashed against all the three tourists Mahesh Sharma (Nasik), Dilipkumar Bang (Hyderabad) and Manojkumar Soni (Hyderabad) killing them on the spot.
The car later plunged in a nullah nearby along with the Russian driver, who was also seriously injured and currently undergoing treatment at Goa Medical college and hospital, Bambolim, near here.
Dalvi said that the legal action would be initiated against the Russian once he is discharged from the hospital.
