The wifi connectivity should be there in the Railway coaches: Sawant

Panaji: Chief minister Pramod Sawant would be a writing to the Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw urging him to install wifi facility in the Railway coaches.

Sawant was talking to reporters on Thursday after arriving from Mangalore where he had travelled by Train. The chief minister who went to attend a function at Mangalore arrived back by Netravati Express.

“I travelled by train and noticed couple of issues. The important issue is that there should be wifi connectivity in the train,” he said.

The chief minister said that he would be writing to the Union Railway Minister urging him for the same.

He also said that the stress should be given for increasing connectivity between Goa and Mangalore (Karnataka).

Sawant said that Vande Bharat train which will run between Mumbai and Mangalore should be extended to Goa while the Air connectivity between Mangalore and Manohar International Airport at Mopa (Goa) should also be established.

“The connectivity between Mangalore and Goa will help the tourism and trade between both the states,” he said.
