In case filed by the State relating to sticking of posters on public properties during 2022 Assembly elections campaign summons have been issued to former Aam Aadmi Party Goa Convener Rahul Mhambre. The Goa Police have issued summons dated 19th May 2023 on 22nd June 2023 to appear before Court on 26th June 2023 in connection with the case.
“Such intimidation tactics of Goa Government will not deter my resolve to speak and expose the corrupt and non-performance of this BJP government. Instead of reigning on drug peddlers and land mafia who are destroying Goa, Dr Pramod Sawant is focusing on his political opponents which is unfortunate for Goa”, said Rahul Mhambre.
It may be recalled that similar such summons were issued to National Convener of Aam Aadmi Party and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in April 2023 by the Goa Government which was later withdrawn.
