Speaker says matter with former minister settled amicably, withdraws summons

Panaji: Goa Legislative Assembly speaker Ramesh Tawadkar suo-motto withdrew summons issued to former minister Prakash Velip, claiming that the matter was settle amicably.
On Friday, Tawadkar had told the House that former minister Velip had made baseless allegations against him, resulting in the insult to the chair.
Tawadkar had said that he has summoned Velip to appear before him on Saturday at 3.30 pm.
On Saturday, during the last day of the session, the speaker, however withdrew his summons claiming that the matter was resolved unanimously.
Tawadkar mentioned “Persistent to the mention that was made in the house in consultation of the leader of the house CM Dr Pramod Sawant, I have joined deliberated with Prakash Velip and resolved the matter unanimously.”
