Panaji: Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) President Mr. Girish Chodankar has asked Chief Minister Dr Pramod P Sawant to make the statement on how Himanshu, son of Speaker of Goa Legislative Assembly Rajesh Patnekar, topped the examination conducted by Goa Public Service Commission for the Junior Scale Officers’ post.

Mr. Chodankar had exposed how Himanshu, who was 14 in the list climbed up to the top position after revision of the papers answered through Computer Based Recruitment Test (CBRT). The Congress leader has questioned how come Speaker’s son became so much intelligent surpassing all the other candidates, who otherwise top the merit.

“I had raised this question yesterday. But Chief minister has not responded to it. Goans want to know how Speaker’s son topped in the merit list of GPSC and others failed to even qualify,” he said.

Mr. Chodankar said that the state government is insensitive towards the youth. He pointed out that High Court had struck down the appointment of 32 Data Operators in the Electricity Department. The HC order was upheld in the Supreme Court citing issues in the process. But despite this, government has not made any statement on the issue.
