Panaji: BJP leader Damodar Naik on Sunday said the investigation by agencies against Popular Front of India (PFI) is also revealing which were the politicians “supporting it.”
Without naming anyone, Naik said that a “self proclaimed leader of opposition” is giving statements against the government, venting out his frustration.
The BJP leader was addressing press conference in presence of Margao MLA Digambar Kamat on Sunday.
Naik said that the State government has acted against the drugs with iron hand, due to which there are several seizures and arrests reported during recent times.
“Government has not compromised on acting against drugs and also those who were involved in conversion activities,” he said.
“This is resulting in the frustration amongst some people after which they try to set wrong political narratives.”
He said that the National Investigation Agency and local police are probing the leaders of PFI. “Gradually, it is coming to light which political leaders are supporting PFI,” he said.
Naik said that those who are supporting the anti nationals will face action. He said that action is already taken to identify Bangladeshis and Rohingyas living in Goa.
