Panaji: Minister Sudin Dhavalikar on Friday said that Calangute Sarpanch Joseph Sequeira was wrong his decision of issuing orders to remove Shivaji Maharaj Statue.
“Chhatrapati Shivaji is our deity and he cannot be compared to any other leader. That is why he is called Chhatrapati,” Dhavalikar told reporters.
He said that the decision about the statue should have been taken collectively.
Dhavalikar said that Calangute Sarpanch was wrong for which he has tendered apology and the issue should end there.
