Curchorem: Shiv Sena Candidate from South Goa Parliamentary Constituency Rakhi Prabhudesai Naik got tremendous response during her campaign at Curchorem where people are troubled with the closure of mining industry.
Naik during her campaign met several people including traders at Curchorem market who have been complaining about slump in their business due to closure of mining operations.
“People have hope in Shiv Sena. They feel that Sena is the party which is concerned about the locals and will be their voice in the Parliament,” she said.
Naik recalled that their manifesto has made special mention about mining issue and has also assured minimum financial support to mining dependents, till industry is resumed.
She said that the people have decided to shun doors on BJP, Congress and AAP candidates who have failed to be with them during their time of crisis.
Sena leaders had travelled even to New Delhi to participate in the protest organised by Goa Mining People’s Front.
People want a change and a young new face who can understand their problems and mitigate them, she said.
