Sanguem: Stating that the life is more important than any other economic activities, Sanguem MLA Prasad Gaonkar on Saturday demanded that the state should go for a “complete lockdown” till situation is brought under control.
On Saturday, Gaonkar along with Dy. Collector Sagar Gawade, Mamlatdar korgaonkar, Sanguem PI Sachin Panhalkar, Health officer Vasu Naik inspected two families at Gawaliwada and Dabal in Netravali as the number of cases have increased since last two days.
The Deputy Collector said that the report on the situation at Netravali would be sent to the Collector and will recommend him to make these two localities as micro-containment zones.
The MLA, talking to media, said that it has been a year that world is reeling under the threat of COVID-19 pandemic.
“It’s a second wave now and everyone has to be more alert by understanding our own responsibility.”
He said that complete lockdown is required as life is more precious than the economic activities.
