Sanquelim: Prachi Rathod of Dnyanprassarak Mandal’s PVS SM Kushe Higher Secondary School, Mapusa, won first prize in the Effective Public Speaking Competition, VOXORA, organised by JCI Sanquelim in association with Sai Nursing Institute, Sankhali, and Matoshree Padmini Educational Society, Sankhali, on Sunday.
Saanvi Shetgaonkar of St. Xavier’s Higher Secondary School, Mapusa, secured second place. The third prize was bagged by Nifa Sayed of Shri Bhumika Higher Secondary School, Parye, Sattari, while the consolation prizes were won by Sanvi Pal of Dr. K. B. Hedgewar Vidyamandir, Karapur-Tisk, and Sunita Gaonkar of St. John of the Cross High School, Sanquelim.
Senior BJP leader and JCI Sanquelim mentor Sulakshana Sawant, who is also a Director of the Matoshree Padmini Educational Society, was present for the inaugural function of the event, which was also attended by JCI Sanquelim President JC Asmita Gauns, Past Zone President of JCI India Zone 11 JC Shaba Gauns, Zone Director Training of JCI India Zone 11 JC Nikita Desai, and others.
The programme was organised as part of the JCI Week celebrations scheduled from September 9 to 15.
The programme began with an introductory note on VOXORA, highlighting the importance of effective communication and confident expression, followed by the formal opening ceremony.
Through VOXORA, JCI Sanquelim not only celebrated the power of the spoken word but also honoured individuals whose silent actions speak volumes, reaffirming its commitment to empowering voices and recognising community excellence.
