Panaji: Two days after Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal assured free power upto 300 unit to Goa, if his party is voted to power in the coastal state, Goa’s Power Minister Nilesh Cabral appealed to the people “not to get carried away with empty promises.”
Addressing a press conference in Panaji, Cabral said “I appeal to the people of Goa not to get carried away with such empty promises and fall for them, which no doubt are short term and will destroy Goa in future.”
Cabral said that the people of Goa have always kept their self respect in high esteem.
“I am sure that they are not interested in any freebies, from any quarters. They believe in working hard with total sincerity and earn their livelihood respectfully. The people of Goa are rather interested in seeing the overall and all-round development of their State,” he added.
Cabral said that if one opens the social media, it can be seen that the right thinking people of Delhi are themselves posting voluntarily, a lot of videos and articles expressing their anguish and disgust over the pathetic model of Governance of giving freebies provided by the AAP in Delhi.
“They have been repeatedly posting that such freebies have hampered the progress of Delhi in critical sectors, as most of the revenue that the Delhi Government earns gets diverted in paying for the freebies,” the minister stated.
He added that since AAP has come to power in Delhi, the rate of unemployment has increased many folds, a lot of youth and even older people have taken up to vices like drinking, gambling etc. in view of them easily getting these freebies, as they no longer feel the need to work to take care of their families and therefore a lot of families in Delhi are ruined. In short the above mentioned people of Delhi feel that AAP has destroy Delhi with their so called generosity.
“The concerns of the right thinking people of Delhi are totally not out of place as if one takes just the figures of the backlog of the payments to the companies supply power to Delhi, one can get the larger and the factual picture of the financial situation and the mismanagement of Delhi Government,” he added.
