Ponda: Pezzaad 79 and Pezzaad 37 a roller coaster cycling event by Ponda based Cycling club concluded on the Sunday.
This is club’s annual cycling event in which 138 cyclists from across Goa participated in this event
The event was flagged off at 6am at the hands of Pramod Divgi, President, Fit Swaggers and Damodar Verlekar, Vice President, Fit Swaggers
Pezzaad 79 participants had to ride pre-decided route of 79km and elevation gain of 1500+ meters with Siddhanath Parvat thrown in. This is a gruelling ride and the finishers are titled Pezzaad and each one is awarded a Pezzaad trophy
For new riders the club introduced a mini version Pezzaad 37; 37 Km with elevation gain of 620m
All riders were provided with early morning start , breakfast and lunch. Each and every rider felt a sense of achievement on completing this challenging ride.
Slopes and Bends cycling club derives its name from the mountainous terrain of Ponda, all the roads here have lots of Slopes and Bends
