Porvorim: Pending bills of self help groups which provide mid day meal to the schools would be cleared within 8 days, chief minister Prmaod Sawant told the House.
The issue was raised on the floor of the House by Leader of Opposition Digambar Kamat who had claimed that the bills of mid day meal was pending. He also said that several self help groups were waiting for the payment.
Sawant said that the pending bills would be cleared within 8 days. He pointed out that few self help groups had issues as some members had requested not to deposit the money in particular bank accounts.
