Paytm partners with Pirna Urban Cooperative Credit Society in Goa, deploy over 100 Soundbox & QRs in first phase

Panaji: One97 Communications Limited (OCL) that owns the brand Paytm, India’s leading payments and financial services company and the pioneer of QR code, soundbox and mobile payments, today announced that it has partnered with Pirna Urban Cooperative Credit Society for enabling lightning-fast mobile payments in Goa. Under this partnership, the company has deployed more than 100 payment devices such as Paytm Soundbox and Paytm QR codes in the first phase.

Given the strong adoption of its payment devices, the company has already received an exclusive mandate from Pirna Urban Cooperative Credit Society. This will enable the society members in the state with mobile payments using Paytm Wallet, Paytm UPI, Paytm UPI Lite, among other payment modes, for their day to day transactions.

This partnership is in line with our commitment to making mobile payments accessible to everyone. This step will simplify and digitize collection processes for the individual society members.”
