Panaji:Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar on Wednesday chaired State cabinet meeting.

Senior cabinet minister Vijai Sardesai said that the cabinet discussed various issues including extension of debt relief scheme to the mining affected people. The scheme has been extended till March, 2019. The people affected with mining closure, who have already applied for the scheme, can avail the financial benefit in settling their bank loans.

BJP MLA and State Panchayat Minister Mauvin Godinho said that the chief minister “fully fit and participated in the discussions.”

“CM was fully fit. He participated in the discussions. He gave his valuable suggestions,” the minister said.

“Except that the meeting did not take place at Secretariat, everything was like a normal cabinet meeting,” Godinho said.

The BJP leader said that CM needs little more rest. “He will be resting for some more time. But he has told the ministers that whenever there are issues, he will be calling each one of us individually,” he added.

Godinho said that Parrikar would be meeting BJP office bearers tomorrow at his private residence.
