Old Goa police have arrested one individual Mr.Raju Yeshawant Gawas, R/o Corte Real, Santa Cruz, Tiswadi – Goa for assaulting and obstructing a RTO inspector while Motor vehicle checking.
As per PI Jivba Dalvi a complaint was received from a Motor Vehicle Inspector Shri. Francis Diogo Vaz, C/o Directorate of Transport, Panaji office that whole he along with his staff were performing their duty of issuing checking reports to the defaulters they had stopped one Aviator scooter No: GA-07-D-9663 at Vodle Bhat, St. Cruz which was being rode by the accused person. While the accused person was being issued a report for wearing the helmet in an improper way the accused person pushed the RTO inspector and tore the challan copy by grabbing the book.
Accordingly police were called at the spot and accused person was brought at the police station and placed under arrest.
An offence under section 353 IPC has been registered.
Further investigation is in progress with PSI Suden Redkar under the supervision of PI Jivba Dalvi.
