Panaji: Goa is witnessing a controversy over the objectionable video shot by actress Poonam Pandey at state’s one of the important dam at Canacona village in South Goa.
While Goa Forward Party (GFP) has filed a formal police complaint against the shooting of the video showing Poonam Pandey in objectionable poses, the Congress party has said that allowing shooting of video on sensitive place like dam exposes intelligence failure of the government.
The video clip which has gone viral is shot at Chapoli dam, one of the important reservoir in the Southernmost part of the state.
Goa Forward Party’s women wing president Ashma Sayed , in her complaint to Superintendent of Police (South) has demanded that the police should investigate the matter and file first information report under appropriate sections.
She has demanded that Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, Water Resources Department minister Philip Nery Rodrigues and actress Poonam Pandey should be held responsible for the violation.
“We are shocked how this video was shot at the government property and with whose permission. This needs to be investigated and culprits need to be booked,” she said.
Sayed said that she is asking action against the chief minister as he is heading Entertainment Society of Goa, which is responsible for granting permissions for the shoots in the state.
Leader of Opposition and Congress leader Digambar Kamat has said that the viral video circulated on social media raises serious questions on security of highly sensitive places like Dams. “Any sabotage can cause huge disaster. How a video shooting can take place in day light with all authorities remaining clueless,” he questioned.
He said that it is a clear cut case of intelligence failure and the chief minister should take serious cognizance of it.
