Panaji : National Students’ Union of India Goa protested at Goa University on Wednesday along with engineering college students. The engineering students inferred that earlier 20% marks were allotted for IT (Internal Test) and 80% for sessions, however with the new notification which said 50% marks would be allotted for IT has put the students into trouble. “This is clear injustice to the students and failure of Goa University which is acting like dictators to ensure only students who are favorite to the teachers pass since IT marks are in the hands of the colleges,” said NSUI president Ahraz Mulla.
Naushad Chowdhari North Goa president of NSUI said, “Students are the worst sufferers because of this new notification especially those who have got less marks in IT,so now it’s nearly impossible for the students to clear their papers.” The students await to meet the registrar who will redress their issues.
