Porvorim/Margao: While Stay Home, Stay Safe remained to be a mantra to keep COVID-19 infection away for almost a year now, it’s time to say “Stay Fit and Stay Safe.”

Three youngsters – Raghvendra Pagi, Nelson Thomas and Basu – affiliated to Porvorim Rising, mentored by Porvorim MLA Rohan Khaunte, on Saturday ran from Porvorim to Margao with the message.

Taking no break, these fitness enthusiasts completed their run in almost three hours as they started from Porvorim at 4 am , culminating their run at Margao Bus Stand.

“We wanted to promote fitness mantra in our own way. It’s no more affordable to stay home to save from Covid-19. The time has come to stay fit and fight back corona,” Pagi said.

He added that the idea was conceived amongst a group of friend circle to do something different so that the people are inspired.

“We finally concluded that we should display fitness by ourselves so that the people can be inspired,” he said.
