Panaji: Goa Forward Party President Vijai Sardesai has reacted to the candidature of Pallavi Dempo as BJP candidate from South Goa, questioning whether “man or woman, no candidate worthy of South Goa in BJP.”
Sardesai tweeted “ MAN OR WOMAN, NO CANDIDATE WORTHY OF SOUTH GOA IN BJP. By nominating Pallavi Dempo as their South Goa candidate, @BJP4Goa has admitted what the people of #Goa have always believed-there’s not a single party member, in the entire BJP parivar, including Mahila Morcha, who could face the discerning, politically conscious, questioning #Goemkar voters of South Goa. The party facing credibility and reputation crisis with #Goan voters , is now seeking to ride on the Dempo name to win over South Goa! Thus the party has confessed that the political fortunes of brand BJP in Goa are now dependent on brand Dempo, who are undeniably new to electoral politics !”
