Panaji: Public Works Department Minister Nilesh Cabral has said that he has called for the files related to work order for renovation of Kala Academy building.
Cabral took the decision to call for the files after Art and Culture Minister Govind Gaude stated that the work order was issued by the PWD and he should not be questioned.
The minister said that he has asked for the files from the officers.
Cabral said that preliminary inquiry with the officers revealed that the suggestion about the particular contractor was made by Art and Culture department.
“I was not the minister at that time. I would not be able to comment on anything right now till I see the files,” he said.
