Aam Aadmi Party while accepting the people’s verdict at the Zilla Panchayat bye elections in Navelim said that they are elated with the vote share that people of Navelim gave, this shows their confidence in AAP and it will build a string foundation for upcoming assembly elections.
AAP Goa Convener Rahul Mhambre in a twit thanked each of the 2428 voters from Navelim constituency for voting for their candidate and assured them that they will continue to work for the people.
He also thanked the voters from Curchorem and Panaji for electing their panel candidates and said AAP is committed to solve people’s grievances and will work for the people wholeheartedly.
Meanwhile AAP ZP Candidate Matilda D’Silva while admitting that getting 2428 votes in such a short time of campaigning in Navelim was a huge achievement said that she is humbled by the love and support of the people of Navelim, She has vouched to continue her work for Navelim.
While thanking people of believing in AAP ideals, she however admitted that victory is all that matter but pointed out that they still have time before the next test.
“It looks obvious from Pratima’s statement that Congress was least interested to contest Navelim ZP, they only contested to cut our Votes and help Cipru Win, that’s how they have been supporting the BJP and its allies all across Goa, we have got a good Vote share and it is a clear message that people are fed up of Congress and the 2022 assembly elections will be a direct fight between BJP and AAP, in Panjim City Corporations elections people have shown support in AAP backed candidates, out of 11 candidates to whom we have supported, one won and 5 came second ”, said Rahul Mhambre.
