National Security Act imposed in South Goa District

Panaji: Goa government has imposed National Security Act in South District for a period of three months, claiming that there are reasons to do so.

Under Secretary (Home) Pritidas Gaonkar in an order has said that National Security Act, 1980 has been imposed in South Goa District.

Having regards to the circumstances prevailing in South Goa district, the government is satisfied that it is necessary so to do.

The government has directed District Collector to exercise the powers under this act for three months within the local limits of its jurisdiction.
