Panaji: Ousted General Secretary of Maharahstrawadi Gomantak Party (MGP) Lavu Mamlatdar on Monday said that more leaders are going to quit the party, getting fed up of Dhavalikar brothers.

Mamledar was reacting to the recent incident of St Andre Block of MGP resigning from their primary membership.

“More leaders are going to quit the party. People are fed up the way Dhavalikar brothers have made it to be their private property,” he said.

Mamledar pointed out that leaders like Satyavijay Naik, Prakash Naik and  Jagdish Bhobe has already quit, while rest are in the line.

He alleged that Dhavalikar brothers have been falsely claming that they had funded Rs 80 lakh each for the candidates to contest 2017 election.

“The candidates are getting maligned and disrespected with such statements due to which they are putting down their papers,” he said.

Mamledar said that it is high time that Dhavalikars should step aside and play a role of advisor to the party while loyalists like Parshuram Kotkar, Apa Teli, Gajanan Tilu Naik or Ratnakant Mardolkar should be asked to head it.
