New Delhi: Vedanta Resources Limited’s Executive Chairman Anil Agarwal has hailed BJP’s manifesto for upcoming Lok Sabha election claiming it to be acknowledging the importance of mining.
BJP on Monday launched ‘Sankalp Patra’, a manifesto for the upcoming Lok Sabha election.
“Pleased to see #BJPManifesto acknowledges the importance of mining and aims to increase its contribution to 2.5 per cent of GDP,” Agarwal tweeted.
“It will make our country self reliant and save foreign exchange. Encouraging MSMEs, Entrepreneurs and Tourism are other areas of focus that will generate jobs,” he tweeted.
Vedanta is currently facing crisis in Goa after Supreme Court quashed 88 mining leases, including those of Sesa Goa, an arm of the multinational company.
