Panaji : The Directorate of Art & Culture has organized an all Goa Matoli and Dekhawa competitions during Ganesh Chaturthi festival.The Matoli decoration competition will be for individual households at state
level which will be conducted from 3rd to 6th day of Ganesh Chaturthi Festival i.e.( September 12 to 15).
There will be 1st prize of Rs15,000, 2nd prize of Rs 10,000 and 3rd prize of Rs 7,500. There will be five consolation prizes of Rs 5,000. The Dekhawa presentation competition will be only for Sarvajanik Ganesh Utsav Mandals
at State level which will be conducted from 7th to 10th day of Ganesh Chaturthi Festival i.e.(September 16 to 19).
There will be 1st prize of Rs25,000, 2nd prize of Rs 20,000 and 3rd prize of Rs15,000. Interested individuals and Sarvajanik Ganesh Utsav Mandals may collect the application forms for participating from the office of the
Directorate of Art & Culture, Sanskruti Bhavan, Patto, Panaji-Goa (Ph. 2404640) and also download the prescribed form from the Art and
culture website: www.artandculture.goa.gov.in and submit the forms by September 3.
